Julianca + Anthony

The Texas Hill Country is one of the most beautiful places in Texas to host your wedding day, and it’s the reason we see lots of couples coming from out of town to have their wedding here at Dimebox Ballroom. Julianca and Anthony are from the Houston area and Juli took the trek out to our venue one Sunday in the spring to view our space. I remember her visit vividly because we had hosted a raucous New Orleans-style wedding the night prior (complete with Second Line!) and Juli arrived just as the parents of the bride from the previous night were leaving and they raved to her about how much fun they’d had (gotta love on-the-spot reviews!). It didn’t take long for her to confirm her own wedding at Dimebox Ballroom for one of the most important days of her life!

Julianca and Anthony’s wedding was a sweet, intimate affair with no detail overlooked. The gorgeous May afternoon saw the two tying the knot under our ancient oak trees surrounded by friends and family and plenty of mason jars stuffed with baby’s breath. After cocktail hour, the couple and their guests enjoyed our in-house ranch cuisine accompanied by an incredible mariachi band! The couple had a delicious spread of macarons and cake on their cake table and converted our old wooden cart into a fabulous popcorn bar (both styled by Kitsch Event Styling)! Before dancing the night away, Anthony surprised Juli with a special cover of a George Strait song that he performed with his acoustic guitar just for her. The evening was capped off with a celebratory send-off with sparklers, of course! What a truly lovely day.

To top it all off, Anthony’s cousin Cieara Ruess happens to be one talented wedding photographer and was there to capture the momentous day.
